Cooking Camp
It’s time for cooking to become a delight. In this class we will focus on empowering children with the ability to make informed, healthy, and sustainable choices when preparing and selecting food. This hands-on experience is perfect for children eager to explore the world of food. Children will participate in basic culinary tasks such as measuring ingredients, chopping, mixing, and following recipes. We will discuss important aspects of kitchen hygiene and safety while creating delicious and nutritious dishes. Participants will receive guidance as they create their own little cook books full of the yummy recipes that they enjoyed throughout the course. We will mention different food groups and flavor combinations, and will provide ideas for meal presentation. By the end of this course, children will be aware of the positive role that cooking can play in their lives. All ingredients and cooking equipment will be provided, and all children are encouraged to attend. No prior cooking experience is necessary.
